The new Impreza was designed with features and systems that help travelers configure for a wide range of passengers and cargo.
The cargo area in the 5-Door and trunk space in the 4-Door now feature flat floors. A 60/40-split flat-folding rear seatback is standard in all Impreza models. Folding down one or both seats provides a flat cargo space. The flat floor makes hauling cargo more convenient. Two tie-down hooks on either side are available to help secure the cargo.
For easier loading and unloading, cargo-area boards can be set at an angle, tipped up to meet the top surface of the cargo opening.
In addition, a shopping-bag hook on either side of the cargo area helps keep items in their bags when traveling.
On the 5-Door, the tailgate is lighter. Closing and opening efforts have been reduced by 30 percent.
In the 4-Door’s trunk, the hinge arms are covered to make it easier to organize a load. When opened by the inside lever or by remote, the lid pops up more to confirm that it has opened.
