Two weeks prior to his tragic loss in the Oregon Trail ProRally, driver Mark Lovell won the SRT USA’s class in the 81st running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in Colorado Springs, Colorado. His finishing time of 11 minutes and 39.63 seconds placed him second overall and only 4.93 seconds behind a race car purposely built to tackle the Pikes Peak event. In the other SRT USA Open car, driver Ramana Lagemann and co-driver Michael Orr finished second in class and third overall (11 minutes and 43.65 seconds).
