With the major race series having wrapped up, now is the time for riders to recover from the grueling schedule that an Olympic year brings. Most riders can be found entering local events and keep riding. At some point, the riders will head to warmer locations for preseason training.
Last race on the team schedule this year was the Iceman Cometh race, on November 3, 2012.
Schultz won the men’s 27-mile race, while JHK didn’t have any bike issues this year and finished 10th. Russell Finsterwald finished 22nd.
For the women, Batty placed second, showing the return of her racing form after her August injury. Last year’s race winner, Irmiger, came in third.
