SUBARU OF AMERICA, INC. (SOA) considers communication to be an essential part of a customer’s ownership experience. To that end, SOA has initiated several paths of communication to keep owners informed and to provide a number of ways to contact the company. These communication tools include magazines, Web sites, professional affiliations, involvement in local events, and more.

Now SOA introduces a conduit between several of these entities to help you keep up with what’s new as well as find easy paths to the news and information you want. That conduit is the Subaru Insider newsletter, which is e-mailed regularly. The Subaru Insider refers you to:

To Register at My.Subaru Go to My.Subaru.com Click on “Activate” Enter your personal information and vehicle identification number (VIN)(While entering your VIN is optional, we recommend it in order to get vehicle-specific notices. If you do not have your VIN now, you may enter it later on your My.Subaru site.) Enter your vehicle information Follow the screen prompts – Create a username and password – Set e-mail preferences Verify all in formation and preferences are correct Click “Finalize”

Linking you to all these sources, the Subaru Insider offers everything from quick information at a glance to complete news stories and information. Launched in April 2007, this newsletter is intended to consolidate the number of e-mails sent to Subaru owners to keep communications from SOA succinct and to the point.

If you use your vehicle identification number (VIN) when registering, you will receive recall and service campaign notices as well. Another great feature is the ability to schedule your service appointment online; your preferred dealer’s contact information is conveniently displayed on your home page.

User-friendly My.Subaru provides you with essential tools and resources, such as an online Owner’s Manual; warranty information; your Added Security^® information (if purchased); and links to your Chase MasterCard (earn Subaru Reward Dollars with each purchase), Subaru Motors Finance account, and Liberty Mutual Insurance plan. Plus, you can read about Subaru-related news and Subaru-sponsored events. The site allows you to look up trade-in information (Kelly Blue Book^®), and its car care tips will help you keep your vehicle in the best condition possible. By using the site to record your service and maintenance history, you can increase your vehicle’s resale value.
