Located in the mountains
outside Keystone, Colorado, the camps 23-acre site offers plenty of opportunities
for campers to explore and learn about the world through a wide variety of carefully

campers gain an appreciation for the interaction among people, animals and the environment.
The camp offers five- and 10-day sessions, and with a ratio of six campers to every
counselor, the camp offers a warm and personal environment thats accepting
of all individuals. During their adventures, campers learn to work together in groups,
and develop enhanced decision-making abilities, as well as improved communication,
leadership and conflict-resolution skills.

The Subaru of America
Foundation recently partnered with the Keystone Science School to provide scholarships
to Colorados economically disadvantaged youth. Often, children from disadvantaged areas
have few opportunities to see and understand wildlife and the natural environment.
The scholarships provided by Subaru alleviate this shortfall, and help as many children
as possible have access to the experiences available at Discovery Camp. The partnership
has produced campers who head home with positive attitudes toward learning, increased
desire to succeed in school and an understanding and appreciation of others.
