First 2012 Subaru Impreza Owner in the United States
Purchasing her second Subaru Impreza was a no-brainer for Julie Blazquez. She saw the 2012 model at her dealership this past summer, and knew she wanted it. There was no need for a test-drive; she knew it would drive like a Subaru. So she pre-ordered it.
On November 9, 2011, Julie arrived at her dealership (Cascade Subaru, Wenatchee, Washington) with her husband of 30 years, Jose, and black lab, Duke, to take delivery of her 2012 Impreza. “I thought I was getting the first one in Washington, but to be the first in the country, this is amazing,” explained Julie. In addition to her new car, she received a complimentary roof-mounted bike rack and plenty of Subaru Gear.
Julie bought her first Impreza because “… living in this area with snow and unpredictable weather, I wanted to have all-wheel drive, which I never had before.” She wanted a Subaru because of its reputation and reliability. She chose an Impreza 5-Door because “… I really like the space, being able to completely lower the seats and having the area completely open.”
Julie wasn’t the only one who fell in love with the new car. Duke immediately made himself at home in the back seat. He proved a loyal companion for the delivery, standing (or lying) by Julie’s side.
The Impreza is Julie’s daily commuter for 25 miles to a clinic where she has been a physician’s assistant for 23 years. Both Julie and Jose are looking forward to the improved fuel economy on the new car.
Since leaving the dealership, Julie is “… absolutely loving the car. It’s quiet, handles well, the sound system is great, and I even tried out the Bluetooth®1.” Her plans are to drive east over the Snoqualmie Pass and test its mettle!
