TWO GOOD REASONS TO HAVE YOUR SUBARU SERVICED AT A SUBARU DEALERSHIP
|
SETTINGS FOR SUBARU IMPREZA AND LEGACY VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH SRS AUDIO CAPABILITY
SRS(•)® CS Auto* is a premium-quality audio system that elevates sound images to ear level, regardless of speaker location. Owners of new Impreza and Legacy models equipped with the system may not be aware of some of its basic operation. SRS CS Auto on/off control is through the “MENU” button on the audio head unit. After pushing the MENU button, turn the sound control knob to find speed volume control, the on/off settings for the beep sound (operation sound), and the SRS CS Auto setting. Check your Owner’s Manual. * SRS(•), CS Auto, Circle Surround Automotive and WOW are trademarks of SRS Labs, Inc. BACK TO TOP |
2008 SUBARU IMPREZA READY FOR iPOD®
New for 2008, Impreza models without factory navigation and without satellite radio can be equipped with Subaru iPod Interface. It allows control of an iPod through the audio system head unit and steering-wheel controls (if equipped). Connection is through a cable in the center console. When connected, the iPod’s battery is charged and text information can be displayed on the head unit. A number of play modes are available, and the iPod turns off and on with the vehicle’s ignition. Read more about the integration kit and the full capabilities of the Subaru iPod interface at www.subaru.com/ipod. BACK TO TOP |
DON’T PLAY GAMES WITH YOUR GAS GAUGE
Subaru Customer/Dealer Services has received a number of calls and e-mails concerning how much usable fuel is left when the fuel system warning light illuminates. Allowing the fuel level in your fuel tank to deplete to the point of illuminating the warning light is never a good idea, but it’s especially dangerous in winter. Although there is a little fuel left in the tank when the warning light comes on, you cannot rely on having a specific amount – even the amount listed in your Owner’s Manual. Fuel gauges vary in calibration, and that variance could cause you to run out of gas. So plan ahead, and keep your fuel tank filled above the 1/4 mark – especially in winter. BACK TO TOP |
