Ready to Return

Living on the East Coast does not provide this novice canyoneer with enough opportunities, but that first trip in 2006 was all it took to get me hooked on the beauty of Zion National Park. I’m fascinated with canyons and the playgrounds they provide, given proper preparation and planning.

Initially my fascination was my own, seeing a new part of the canyon with every turn. Now with each return trip, I enjoy watching first-time canyoneers as their eyes light up and jaws drop from the canyon’s beauty. Those moments make the trips memorable and worthwhile.
