All PZEV, All the Time

For the 2013 model year, Subaru Impreza, XV Crosstrek, and non-turbocharged Forester models will all have Partial Zero Emission Vehicle (PZEV)1 engines. PZEV-certified 2013 Legacy and Outback models also are available anywhere in the United States.

Subaru has offered PZEV-certified vehicles since 2003. Certification means they meet California’s Super-Ultra-Low-Emission vehicle exhaust emission standard. Gasoline vehicles meeting these standards can have even lower emissions than hybrid or alternative fuel vehicles.
