The 2010 Outback won the Cars.com Platinum Award for Best New Wagon of 2010. The Platinum Awards recognize the best vehicles of the model year.
Also recognized was the 2010 Forester as Best New Car for Small Families.
Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA) sends out a big "thank you" to all Subaru owners for their loyal support and for helping SOA achieve a record-breaking sales year in 2009. Subaru reported a 15-percent increase in vehicle sales and broke its previous sales record, set in 2006.
The Subaru Impreza WRX was listed as best used vehicle in the sport compact segment by Forbes.com. Rankings were based on reliability data from a leading consumer magazine and residual value information from Cars.com and Kelley Blue Book®.
The WRX is projected to retain 59 percent of its manufacturer's suggested retail price after two years and 36 percent after five years.
Subaru of America received three model-year 2010 Residual Value Awards from ALG (Automotive Lease Guide). ALG honors the vehicles in each segment that it predicts will retain the highest percentage of their original prices after a three-year period. Vehicle quality, production levels relative to demand, and pricing strategies are among key factors that affect ALG's residual value forecasts.
Subaru won Best Mainstream Brand; Forester won Best Compact Utility Vehicle; and Outback won Best Midsize Utility.
