Subaru of America’s (SOA’s) home community is in southern New Jersey, and we are deeply saddened by the devastation resulting from Hurricane Sandy. Our thoughts are with all who are impacted.
Subaru has made an initial contribution to the American Red Cross® relief efforts. We know recovery will take years, and we will continue to work with our community partners to further support the rebuilding of communities.
Our customers can join with Subaru in supporting the American Red Cross’ disaster relief efforts.
Subaru experienced record-breaking annual sales of 336,441 in 2012, which represents a 26 percent increase over 2011. It was the fourth consecutive year of record sales for SOA and fifth consecutive year of sales increases. Subaru is the only manufacturer to increase sales each year for the last five years.
We thank all of our owners for making this possible.
At the end of November 2012, SOA sold its 6 millionth vehicle in the United States.
“We are excited to celebrate the 6 million vehicle milestone,” said Thomas J. Doll, SOA executive vice president and COO. “Not only have we sold 6 million vehicles in the U.S., but we are selling them at a faster rate than ever. It took us 16 years to reach our first million, but at our current sales rate, we will hit our next million in under three years.
“We are also proud that 96 percent of Subaru vehicles built in the last 10 years are still on the road today. That speaks to their longevity.”
