Yellow Dot Program

Counties in approximately half of the United States have implemented Yellow Dot programs, which help emergency responders provide the correct medical aid following an accident. Programs vary around the country.

Yellow stickers placed on the vehicle’s rear window let emergency workers know that they should check the glovebox for important medical information concerning the driver.

Consult your state’s department of transportation for more information.

Federal, state, and local governments have passed a number of laws around the United States concerning distracted driving. These address the use of hand-held cellular telephones and other devices while driving.

If confused about legislation for the area in which you’re driving, use this simple rule of thumb: If doing something takes your attention from the road or takes away your ability to perform an emergency maneuver, don’t do it!
