As I’m writing this, my son is driving, and the traffic is getting heavier. We’re nearing the outskirts of Los Angeles after a 2,000-mile family trip. The freeway is smooth, and the scenery is familiar, so I don’t mind sitting in the passenger seat typing on my laptop.
We’re in a 2013 Subaru Outback, which is, of course, just as at home on a freeway at 70 mph as it was earlier in the day on a dirt road in the middle of nowhere.
We might not have been in the real outback as Angus MacKenzie was last year when he drove a 2011 Subaru Outback across Australia. However, we came pretty close when we drove this Outback through the middle of Nevada.
