It’s a partnership that continues long after the holiday lights come down. “Because of the passion Subaru and their customers have for helping animals, we collaborate on a number of programs on a year-round basis including the Subaru ‘Love a Pet’ Adoption Drive, sponsorship of local shelter events across the country, the National Spay/Neuter Project, and the ASPCA’s national endurance training and fundraising program, Team ASPCA,” Howard added. “Subaru also provides us with custom-wrapped vehicles for a number of our partner communities as well as our Veterinary Forensics Team.”
And the opportunities keep growing.
“Last year, our Subaru ‘Share the Love’ donation allowed us to host a series of ‘Mega Match-a-thon’ adoption events and vaccination clinics nationwide,” Howard continued. “This year, we are allocating 100 percent of our ‘Share the Love’ donation as grants to animal welfare organizations in all 50 states. We have already started allocating funds to support local shelters, animal relocation programs, and disaster relief, including Hurricane Sandy.”
Driven by the commitment and the compassion of Subaru owners, this promises to be a continuing journey between Subaru and the ASPCA in giving shelter, care, and love to animals in need.
